Debido a que el espectro visual humano es muy limitado se requiere de instrumentos ópticos para captar las frecuencias infrarrojas y ultravioletas. A consecuencia de las cámaras digitales son muchas las personas que han descubierto esferas de luz en sus fotografías. La mayoría considera que son efectos  ópticos, pero algunos investigadores como Dr. Klaus Heinemann han descartado esta hipótesis.

Razones para descartar que sean efectos ópticos según Dr. Klaus

Dr. Klaus descarta que sean efectos ópticos porque existen fotografías en las que algún objeto las tapa parcialmente por lo que no pueden ser efectos ópticos por partículas de aire. Otra de sus razones es que las partículas de aire se mueven constantemente, pero los orbes mantienen su posición. Además, se han podido fotografiar orbes en habitaciones especiales de investigación en las que se han eliminado las partículas suspendidas en el aire que son las que causan estos reflejos. Otra razón es que se han obtenido fotografías de orbes con cámaras no digitales por lo que se descartan los defectos en el procesamiento digital de la imagen de los sensores CCD.

Interpretaciones de la ciencia y las religiones

La interpretación de que los orbes son presencias invisibles al ojo humano no han recibido respaldo por parte de la ciencia y la religión. Sin embargo, existen físicos contemporáneos que trabajan con la teoría de cuerdas y defienden la existencia de 11 dimensiones, de las cuales en su mayoría no podemos captar con nuestros sentidos.

Además, de que culturalmente se hacen referencias a seres de naturaleza espiritual en religiones como: el judaísmo, cristianismo, el islam y el sijismo. Los cuales aceptan la existencia de ángeles.

Elementos relacionados a la aparición de orbes

Se considera que existen ciertos elementos que favorecen la aparición de orbes. A menudo aparecen en las fotos que se tomaron en la naturaleza o en lugares especiales como templos. Inclusive, en fotos de personas  que están en algún tipo de celebración o concierto y en las que aparecen felices, meditando, bailando o cantando.

Esto lleva a la conclusión de que las orbes aparecen en contextos de vibración elevada. Por lo que se sugiere: (1) elevar su energía ya sea meditando, cantando, etc., (2) elevar la energía con incienso, velas y música sacra, (3) pedir que se hagan visibles en una forma humilde y agradecida y (4) hacer más de una foto porque pueden haber grandes cambios en cuestión de segundos.

De acuerdo a Diana Cooper y Kathy Crosswell los orbes están para iluminarnos. Ambas creen que existen más dimensiones y que están habitadas por criaturas espirituales que desean ayudarnos.

Conclusión

Aunque es difícil aceptar la teoría de la existencia de seres que por tradición consideramos mitológicos, debemos cuestionarnos por qué aparecen presentes en diversidad de culturas que no han tenido contacto entre sí.
