Brief description of the area and its paranormal link

The Rumorosa is an area of the peninsula of Baja California and is crossed by one of the most dangerous roads in Mexico. There is evidence in the background of the ravines of vehicles that have been damaged and that have claimed several lives. There are testimonies that on this road ghosts have been observed on many occasions. Especially mentioned is that of an old woman who appears during the full moon to get on the running board of the trucks with the apparent purpose of guiding the drivers to prevent them from falling off their route.

It has an archaeological zone known as the Vallecito where there are rupestrian paintings of the Kumiai ethnic group.

The curious thing about this area and what is somewhat frightening is the feeling that someone whispers in your ear without anyone being at your side. It is believed that it may be due to when the wind hits the walls of the solid rock, which is characteristic of the area.

Legends in the area of The Rumorosa

There are many legends related to the area. One of these is that of a nurse who lived many years ago in this town. According to the legend, the nurse was required to be present because a terrible accident had occurred and they needed it in the way medical help arrived. She came to the place, but nothing was learned about her or signs of an accident were found. Multiple theories were generated about what happened, but none of these could ever be verified. However, from this incident began the sightings of the ghost of a woman walking on the side of the road and nostalgic appearance. Sometimes it appears in the passenger’s seat leaving the drivers frightened.

Another legend is that of a young man on a bicycle who drives recklessly and is run over. When the driver gets off his vehicle he finds neither the young man nor the bicycle. this usually happens again when following its march; that is, visual deception can be repeated several times. It is believed that it is due to something that actually happened long ago and that his ghost pretends to warn about the tragic event.

There is another legend known as the one of the trailero which relates that a long time ago a trailero was traveling at high speed towards Mexicali because his wife was about to give birth and wanted to arrive early at home, but when he took a curve he lost control and It hit some rocks. He got off the trailer somewhat stunned and realized that apparently nothing had happened to him. So he waited for someone to come by and take him to the city, but no one passed by that place. He fell asleep and when he woke up everything was dark and he began to walk, however in spite of the length of the journey he realized that he was in the same place. Three days after the incident the trailer was found, but not the driver.

As the years went by, a boy who was traveling along that route found a man who beckoned to him and asked for help because he needed to arrive urgently to his wife who was about to give birth to leave money. He identified himself as Francisco Vázquez and told him that his trailer broke down and that he could not leave it there. So he asked him to take the money, in addition to indicating on a piece of paper the address of his wife. The young man agreed to help him and fulfill the order, but while this was happening the young man felt like chills down his back.

The next day he went to find the lady of the trailero, but she no longer lived in that direction. She continued to find out until he found her and when she told him what happened she told him that her husband had died five years ago. The boy’s legs began to tremble, but he handed over the money and returned home frightened. He had barely closed the door of his house when he found himself face to face with the trailero and was startled, while the ghost with a cavernous voice thanked him and disappeared before his very eyes.

At the time the young man knew that other drivers had been the same, but this had not fulfilled the order so they were drying the body to be like skeletons.

Conclusion

The myths or legend may have something of real and some invention of some ingenious mind. However, paranormal experiences that have experienced some people who have passed through that location should be considered. It is curious how the same experiences are repeated without having an explanation that clarifies what they experienced or felt in that area.

Breve descripción sobre la zona y su vínculo paranormal

La Rumorosa es una zona de la península de Baja California y está atravesada por una de las carreteras más peligrosas de México. Hay evidencia en el fondo de las barrancas de los vehículos que se han accidentado y que han cobrado varias vidas. Existen testimonios de que en esta carretera se han observado fantasmas en muchas ocasiones. Especialmente se menciona el de una anciana que aparece durante la luna llena para subir al estribo de los camiones con el aparente propósito de guiar a los conductores para evitar que se desbarranquen en su ruta.

Tiene una zona arqueológica conocida como el vallecito donde hay pinturas rupestres de la etnia Kumiai.

Lo curioso de esta zona y lo que resulta algo aterrador es la sensación de que alguien te susurra al oído sin que se encuentre nadie a tu lado. Se cree que puede deberse a cuando el viento choca contra las paredes de la roca maciza, la cual es característica de la zona.

Leyendas en la zona de La Rumorosa

Existen muchas leyendas relacionadas a la zona. Una de éstas es la de una enfermera que vivió hace muchos años en esta localidad. Según la leyenda a la enfermera se le requirió su presencia porque había ocurrido un terrible accidente y la necesitaban en lo que llegaba la ayuda médica. Ella llegó hasta el lugar, pero no se supo más nada de ella ni se encontraron signos de algún accidente. Se generaron múltiples teorías sobre lo sucedido, pero nunca se pudo comprobar ninguna de éstas. Sin embargo, a partir de este incidente comenzaron los avistamientos del fantasma de una mujer que camina por el costado de la carretera y de apariencia nostálgica. En ocasiones se presenta en el asiento del acompañante dejando atemorizados a los conductores.

Otra leyenda es la de un joven en bicicleta que circula imprudentemente y es atropellado. Al bajarse el conductor de su vehículo no encuentra ni al joven ni la bicicleta. esto suele ocurrir nuevamente al seguir su marcha; o sea el engaño visual puede repetirse varias veces. Se cree que se debe a algo que ocurrió en realidad hace tiempo y que su fantasma pretende advertir sobre el trágico suceso.

Existe otra leyenda conocida como la del trailero la cual relata que hace mucho tiempo un trailero viajaba a mucha velocidad rumbo a Mexicali porque su esposa estaba a punto de parir y quería llegar temprano a su casa, pero al tomar una curva perdió el control y se estrelló contra unas rocas. Se bajó del trailer algo aturdido y se percató que aparentemente no le había pasado nada. Por lo que esperó a que pasara alguien y lo llevara a la ciudad, pero nadie pasó por aquel lugar. se quedó dormido y al despertar todo estaba oscuro y comenzó a caminar, sin embargo a pesar de lo largo del trayecto recorrido se percata que se encontraba en el mismo lugar. A los tres días del incidente fue encontrado el trailer, pero no el conductor.

Al pasar de los años un muchacho que viajaba por esa ruta encontró un hombre que le hizo señas y le pidió ayuda porque necesitaba llegar de urgencia hasta donde su esposa que estaba a punto de parir a dejarle un dinero. Se identificó como Francisco Vázquez y le contó que su trailer se le descompuso y que no podía dejarlo allí. Por lo que le pidió que le llevara el dinero, además de indicarle en un papel la dirección de su esposa. El joven aceptó ayudarle y cumplir el encargo, pero mientras esto sucedía el joven sintió como escalofríos por su espalda.

Al día siguiente fue a buscar a la señora del trailero, pero ella ya no vivía en esa dirección. Siguió averiguando hasta que la encontró y al indicarle lo sucedido ella le indicó que su esposo había fallecido hace cinco años. Al muchacho le comenzaron a temblar las piernas, pero le entregó el dinero y regresó a su casa asustado. a penas había cerrado la puerta de su casa cuando se encontró de frente con el trailero y se sobresaltó, mientras el fantasma con voz cavernosa le dio las gracias y desapareció ante sus propios ojos.

Al tiempo el joven supo que a otros conductores le había pasado lo mismo, pero ésto no habían cumplido el encargo por lo que se les fue secando el cuerpo hasta quedar como esqueletos.

Conclusión

Los mitos o leyenda pueden tener algo de la realidad y algún invento de alguna ingeniosa mente. No obstante, se debe considerar las experiencias paranormales que hayan experimentado algunas personas que hayan pasado por dicha localidad. Es curioso como se repiten las mismas experiencias sin haber una explicación que aclare lo que vivieron o sintieron en dicha zona.

La zona es visitada por curiosos o personas interesadas en el tema paranormal.  Hay evidencias o planteamientos científicos para explicar algunos de estos eventos como el susurro al oído, pero no todos han podido ser explicados a cabalidad.
