Todo inicia el 10 de julio de 1947 cuando una nave espacial desconocida se estrelló en Roswell, Nuevo México, E.U. El portavoz de la base, Walter Haut, comunicó a la prensa que el ejército había capturado un plato volador. Aunque a pocos días la Fuerza Aérea informó que se trataba de un avanzado globo atmosférico. En el año 2014 se desclasificaron los documentos y estos decían que pertenecía al proyecto Mogul, cuyo propósito era encontrar evidencia de si la extinta Unión Soviética estaba realizando pruebas atómicas en el aire.

Se desarrolló entonces la Guerra Fría entre las súper potencias y en el cine se desarrollaron películas relacionadas al tema extraterrestre y ovni. Los ufólogos, Stanton Friedman y William Moore, reavivaron la historia tres décadas después e interpretaron la postura oficial como una de encubrimiento. Existen muchos relatos sobre el caso Roswell y la mayoría de los familiares de las personas relacionadas al caso coinciden en que hubo un ovni y con tripulantes humanoides. Uno de éstos, Charles Fogus, afirmó que vio a los militares retirando los cuerpos.

Hubo testimonios confusos que mezclaron este incidente con los proyectos High Dive y Excelsior, en 1954.

 

 Todo lo relacionado a la filmación de la “autopsia alienígena”

A todo ésto, surge entonces la filmación en 1995 de una autopsia de un cuerpo alienígena. Esto reforzó la historia generada sobre el levantamiento de los cuerpos que emitió Fogus. Todo el proceso de operación se veía como real dado a que los instrumentos de la operación y demás objetos en el lugar coincidían con la época. Aunque hubo escépticos, ningún experto pudo encontrar alguna evidencia que refutara la credibilidad del material fílmico.

La persona detrás de la exposición de la  historia de la “autopsia Roswell”, no fue el productor Spyros Melaris, sino Ray Santilli, empresario inglés, quien junto a su socio, Gary Shoefield, fueron quienes la revelaron al mundo aludiendo haberla comprado al camarógrafo oficial y que la misma había estado oculta por décadas.

La presentaron en el Museo Británico el 5 de mayo de 1995 y luego, vendió copias a más de 30 países. El anuncio del fraude fue por Spyros, quien rompe el silencio de confidencialidad, no se sabe las razones, pero se especula que pudo haber sido por no recibir regalías por su trabajo. Spyros prueba de forma contundente que él fue quien  hizo la filmación porque poseía los dibujos, faxes originales de kodak, etc. que probaron su versión. Explicó en detalle como la hizo y mencionó a Humphrey como el creador del alienígena, el cual estaba hecho de espuma y látex y como  pudo conseguir lo que aparentaba ser las vísceras del cadáver, etc.

Todavía en la actualidad Santilli insiste en que la grabación es real y no un fraude. En el 2006, Humphrey decidió hablar y reafirmó lo dicho por Spyros.

 

Conclusión

El fenómeno OVNI genera muchas teorías y especulaciones y todavía en la actualidad no existe una prueba contundente que reafirme su existencia, pero tampoco se han podido explicar ciertos eventos y negar su existencia.

Lo cierto es que aún quedan archivos sin desclasificar y que se ha dicho que si compromete la seguridad nacional no serán expuestos. Lo cual genera más dudas y especulaciones sobre encubrimiento por parte del gobierno o de las agencias de seguridad.
