Findings Related to Telepathy

One of the cases is that of the wife of General Nathan F. Twining, where on one night in January 1943 she was awakened by an abnormal noise and when she opened her eyes she saw her husband at the foot of the bed, very clearly and then sees his image slowly fade away. At that time her husband was at the other end of the globe in command of the Air Force in the Pacific. She became nervous because that vision seemed so real to her that she even feared it. Three days later he learns that the general’s plane had fallen into the sea. The general was rescued, he obviously ignored the vision of his wife, but in his first letter, he tells her that moments before the accident, he saw her clearly in his bed and reflected grief and frightened.

Another case was the US ambassador to Japan, M.U. Alexis Johnson, who was taken prisoner by the Japanese. His wife had the sensation of hearing an inner voice ordering her to go to her neighbors’ house and listen to the radio. She was and as she understood Japanese, she was able to identify the station in Mukden that was the place where her husband was. At that moment her husband is heard identifying himself and informing that he was going to be exchanged soon and that he was fine, and his desire to be informed to his wife. Two months later, Johnson embarked with the first repatriates from Japan.

 

Various Types of Telepathy

There are several types of telepathy. One of these is telepathy in spontaneous wakefulness where the receiver is awake and without any special knowledge related to the possibility of sending a message by an issuer. An example, the person feels pain in some part of their body and at the same time receives a short thought about someone in particular, and then finds out that person suffered a heart attack, injury, etc. and keep the feeling you experienced.

Another is the telepathic intuition that is to receive messages by intuition, that is a sudden thought, without logical antecedents, such as thinking that he will be received by a very high authority that he did not know and then receive an invitation to lecture before that authority.

There is the telepathic hallucination that is to receive messages through a hallucination. Something like the one reported by Dr. Louise E. Rhine on the case of the wife of General Nathan F. Twining.

Another type of telepathy is the telepathic dream where, through a real or symbolic dream, the reception of a message is possible. For example, to dream that a person is driving a car and falls down a ditch, then wakes up scared, with sweating and rapid breathing. The next day they notify him that his brother died in a car accident.

 

Conclusión

Telepathy is a paranormal phenomenon since it is an experience that is outside the field of normal, scientifically explainable experiences. In addition, it is not compatible with the norm of perceptions, beliefs and expectations related to reality.

[:es]A mediados del siglo XX es que se inicia el tema de la telepatía. Hay escepticismo en la ciencia en cuanto a aceptar la existencia de la telepatía. La telepatía es un tipo de comunicación que consiste en la transmisión o en la coincidencia de pensamientos entre personas generalmente distantes, sin que exista la intervención de los sentidos o de agentes físicos conocidos. La Dra. Louise E. Rhine, en colaboración con su esposo en el Laboratorio de Parapsicología de la Universidad de Duke, estudió una gran variedad de casos, los cuales fueron debidamente comprobados y son considerados como evidencia.

Hallazgos Relacionados a la Telepatía

Uno de los casos es el de la esposa del general Nathan F. Twining, donde en una noche de enero de 1943 despertó por un ruido anormal y al abrir sus ojos vio a su esposo al pie de la cama, con suma claridad y luego lo ve desvanecerse lentamente su imagen. En ese momento su esposo estaba al otro extremo del globo terráqueo al mando de la Fuerza Aérea en el Pacífico.  Ella se puso nerviosa pues le pareció tan real aquella visión que incluso le causó temor. Tres días más tarde se entera que el avión del general había caído en el mar. El general fue rescatado, el obviamente ignoraba la visión de su esposa, pero en su primera carta le relata que momentos antes del accidente,  la  vio claramente en su cama y reflejaba pena y como asustada.

Otro caso fue el del embajador norteamericano en Japón, M.U. Alexis Johnson, que fue hecho prisionero por los japoneses. Su esposa tuvo la sensación de oír una voz interior que le ordenaba que fuera a casa de sus vecinos y escuchase la radio. Ella fue y como entendía japonés pudo identificar la emisora en Mukden que era el sitio donde se encontraba su esposo. En ese momento se escucha a su esposo identificándose e informando que iba a ser canjeado próximamente y que estaba bien, y su deseo de que le fuera informado a su esposa. Dos meses más tarde, Johnson embarcaba junto a los primeros repatriados del Japón.

 

Varios Tipos de Telepatía

Existen varios tipos de telepatía. Una de estas es la telepatía en vigilia espontánea donde el receptor está despierto y sin ningún tipo especial de conocimiento relacionado con la posibilidad del envío de un mensaje por parte de un emisor. Un ejemplo, la persona siente dolor en alguna parte de su cuerpo y al mismo tiempo recibe un pensamiento de corta duración referente a alguien en particular, y después se entere que esa persona sufrió un infarto, lesión, etc. y guarde concordancia a la sensación que experimentó.

Otra es la intuición telepática que es recibir mensajes por intuición, o sea un pensamiento repentino, sin antecedentes lógicos, como el pensar que va a ser recibido por una altísima autoridad  que no conocía y luego reciba una invitación para dar una conferencia ante esa autoridad.

Existe la alucinación telepática que es recibir mensajes a través de una alucinación. Algo así como el reportado por la Dra. Louise E. Rhine sobre el caso de la esposa del general Nathan F. Twining.

Otro tipo de telepatía es el sueño telepático en donde mediante un sueño real o simbólico, es posible la captación de un mensaje. Por ejemplo, soñar que una persona va conduciendo un carro y  cae por una cuneta, entonces despierta asustado, con sudoración y respiración rápida. Al otro día le notifican que su hermano murió en un accidente automovilístico.

 

Conclusión

La telepatía es un fenómeno paranormal ya que es una experiencia que se encuentra al margen del campo de las experiencias normales explicables científicamente. Además, no es compatible con la norma de las percepciones, creencias y de las expectativas referentes a la realidad.
