[:en]Beginnings of the mysterious Philadelphia Experiment

It is believed that everything began in 1939, when scientists were interested in the research of Nikola Tesla, inventor and expert in electromagnetism, and Albert Einstein. It is said that they saw it possible that with the help of these experts they could bend the rays of light that reach the objects to make them invisible. Hence the interest of the US government to apply it to their warships because they had been overwhelmed by the powerful U-Boot submarines in the Atlantic.

According to the historian and journalist, Jesús Hernández, it is because of this that he decided to take the experiment. In his book Enigmas and Mysteries of the Second World War he tries to find an explanation to this; from the official version to the outrageous testimonies, only in order for the reader to determine the veracity of the facts.

History perpetuated by conspiracy theorists

In the middle of the Second World War, on October 28, 1943, the largest military secret was developed in the naval shipyards of Philadelphia. This consisted in making a warship invisible to radars and human eyes, and then appear hundreds of kilometers away.

The Philadelphia Experiment was the name that the American ufologist, Morris K. Jessup gave to a supposed experiment where the destroyer escort of the Navy USS Eldridge was made invisible; and involuntarily it would have been teleported 600 KM to the port of Norfolk (State of Virginia) round trip.

There is an urban legend about a supposed program of the US Navy. called the Rainbow Project (better known as the Philadelphia Experiment). It is said that an electromagnetic field generator was being tested to try to find practical applications to the unified field theory proposed by Einstein. In other words, they intended to achieve invisibility.

This required two powerful generators, tens of meters of electric cable around the hull and other electronic devices of great complexity for the USS Eldridge. This supposed experiment occurred on July 22, 1943, where the battleship disappeared from sight for a few minutes and was observed surrounded by a greenish mist. Some of the sailors suffered from nausea and dizziness.

It is said that on October 28 the equipment was readjusted for a second test. This time the whole ship disappeared and appeared at the naval base in Norfolk, 600 kilometers away and 15 minutes in the past. There he was sighted for 15 minutes, then disappeared in the middle of a blue lightning bolt and returned to Philadelphia.

The urban legend says that the consequences were devastating on this occasion and that for this the Navy canceled the project. The majority of the crew developed schizophrenia, some were critically injured as they materialized and others less fortunate merged into the ship’s hull. Others vanished and never appeared again.

The Navy has always denied the existence of any invisibility or teleportation program, as well as the involvement of Albert Einstein with this experiment.

Reasons to come to light the Philadelphia Experiment

All this comes to light through letters from Carl Meredith Allen, merchant marine, who says saw the USS Eldridge disappear from his own ship, the SS Andrew Furuseth and sent to the ufologist Morris Jessup. Although he did not offer evidence, Morris decides to include this story in his book entitled The Case of UFOs.

Morris, who was selling cars, lost his job in 1958, his wife left him and some friends described him as “unstable” when he traveled to New York. When he returned to Florida he had a car accident and on April 29, 1959, at 59 years old, he was killed by the exhaust gases of his vehicle, apparently, he committed suicide.

After Morris committed suicide four years later, the circumstances of his death lead to the government’s cover-up theory taking hold, and therefore, the belief in the Philadelphia experiment increases.

On the other hand, Carl Allen died in a psychiatric asylum at 68 years old. Regarding his life history, we are told he was in the US Army, but he was licensed for psychiatric problems in May 1943 and in July 1943 he entered the Merchant Navy. He left the navy in 1952 and since then he has been a vagabond.

Data related to the alleged Philadelphia Experiment

It should be noted that for the 40’s the US Navy. I was experimenting with invisibility. In his explanation, he discards that they had vanished or disappeared due to the Philadelphia Experiment.

Conclusion

It must be said that Albert Einstein was working on unified field theory, combining the equations that govern the interaction of matter, between this and light and both with gravity. It is intended to deform the flow of light, alter the relationship time and space, teleportation or make things invisible. He confirmed it himself but said he had never been able to prove it.

While this was happening, the alleged disappearance of the USS Eldridge occurred, so there is a doubt that Einstein could not prove his theory, and therefore, it is suspected that he may have been cooperating with the US government. in the Philadelphia Experiment.

Tesla spoke about teleportation through electric and magnetic fields. However, according to written evidence, both Tesla and Einstein did not have a good relationship between them. In fact, Tesla did not believe in Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and so he made it known in writing. So it’s hard to believe they worked together.

As for the suicide of Morris Jessup, there are doubts that it was the cause. Anna Genzlinger thoroughly investigated Jessup’s death and concluded that he was under some kind of control. It must be remembered that this was the era of secret mind control experiments by government agencies and that they have recently been discovered. Another fact that creates serious doubts is that, contrary to the state law, the autopsy of the corpse was not carried out.

Another rare case to explain is that of Carl Allen who dies in a psychiatric asylum. It is alluded to when he entered the US Navy. He was later licensed for psychiatric problems specifically in May 1943 and later in July of that same year he was accepted into the Merchant Navy. It is hard to believe that he was accepted only two months after being licensed by the Navy for psychiatric problems. He is questionable about his psychiatric problems and if this was something real or there was some manipulation with his record while he was in the army.

The truth is that given his diagnosis and being located in a place for people with mental problems makes people doubt his testimony regarding what he supposedly saw on the day of the Philadelphia Experiment.

There are data that support that is only an urban legend and that the facts have been misrepresented, but there are situations like the ones mentioned above that cast doubt and point out that there were conspiracies to discredit the existence of a Philadelphia Experiment.

There are the data and there are the references for what the reader judges and reaches his own conclusions.

 [:es]Inicios del misterioso Experimento Filadelfia

Se cree que todo comenzó a partir de 1939, cuando unos científicos se interesaron por las investigaciones de Nikola Tesla, inventor y experto en electromagnetismo, y de Albert Einstein. Se dice que veían posible que con la ayuda de estos expertos podrían curvar los rayos de la luz que llegan a los objetos para así volverlos invisibles. De ahí se desprende el interés del gobierno estadounidense para aplicarlo a sus buques de guerra dado a que éstos habían sido arrollados por los potentes submarinos alemanes U-Boot en el Atlántico.

Según el historiador y periodista, Jesús Hernández, es por ésto que se decidió llevar el experimento. En su libro Enigmas y Misterios de la Segunda Guerra Mundial pretende encontrar una explicación a ésto; desde la versión oficial hasta los testimonios disparatados, solo con el fin de que sea el lector quien determine la veracidad de los hechos.

Historia perpetuada por teóricos de la conspiración

En plena Segunda Guerra Mundial, el 28 de octubre de 1943, se desarrolló en los astilleros navales de Filadelfia el mayor secreto militar. Este consistió en hacer invisible un barco de guerra a los radares y a la vista humana; y luego aparecer cientos de kilómetros de distancia.

El Experimento Filadelfia  fue el nombre que el ufólogo estadounidense, Morris K. Jessup le dio a un supuesto experimento donde fue invisibilizado el destructor escolta de la Armada USS Eldridge; e involuntariamente habría sido tele transportado 600 KM hasta el puerto de Norfolk (estado de Virginia) ida y vuelta.

Existe una leyenda urbana sobre un supuesto programa de la marina de E.U. llamado Proyecto Arcoíris (mejor conocido como Experimento Filadelfia). Se dice que se estaba probando un generador de campos electromagnéticos para tratar de buscar aplicaciones prácticas a la teoría de campo unificado propuesta por Einstein. En otras palabras pretendían lograr la invisibilidad.

En esto se requirieron dos potentes generadores, decenas de metros de cable eléctrico alrededor del casco y otros dispositivos electrónicos de gran complejidad para el USS Eldridge. Este supuesto experimento ocurrió el 22 de julio de 1943, donde se hizo desaparecer el acorazado de la vista por unos minutos y se observaba rodeado de una niebla verdosa. Algunos de los marineros aquejaron nauseas y mareos.

Se dice que el 28 de octubre el equipamiento se reajustó para una segunda prueba. Esta vez todo el barco desapareció y apareció en la base de la marina en Norfolk, 600 kilómetros de distancia y 15 minutos en el pasado. Allí fue avistado por 15 minutos, luego desapareció en medio de un relámpago azul y regreso a Filadelfia.

Dice la leyenda urbana que las consecuencias fueron devastadoras en esta ocasión y que por ésto la marina canceló el proyecto. La mayoría de la tripulación desarrolló esquizofrenia, algunos resultaron heridos de gravedad al materializarse y que otros menos afortunados se fusionaron al casco del barco. Otros se desvanecieron y nunca volvieron a aparecer.

La marina siempre ha negado la existencia de algún programa de invisibilidad o tele transportación, así como el estar implicado Albert Einstein con dicho experimento.

 

Razones para salir a la luz el Experimento Filadelfia

Todo ésto sale a la luz a través de unas cartas de Carl Meredith Allen, marino mercante, que dice vio desaparecer al USS Eldridge desde su propio barco, el SS Andrew Furuseth, y enviadas al ufólogo Morris Jessup. Aún cuando no ofreció pruebas, Morris decide incluir dicho relato en su libro titulado El Caso de los OVNIS.

Morris, quien se dedicaba a la venta de carros, perdió su trabajo en 1958, su esposa lo dejó y algunos amigos lo describieron como “inestable” cuando viajó a Nueva York. Al regresar a Florida tuvo un accidente automovilístico y el 29 de abril de 1959, con 59 años de edad, aparece muerto por los gases de escape de su vehículo, aparentemente se suicidó.

Después de que Morris se suicidó cuatro años más tarde, las circunstancias de su muerte conllevan a que tomara auge la teoría de encubrimiento del gobierno, y por tanto, aumenta la creencia del experimento Filadelfia.

Por otro lado, Carl Allen murió en un asilo psiquiátrico a los 68 años. Respecto a su historial de vida se nos dice que estuvo en la Armada de E.U., pero fue licenciado por problemas psiquiátricos en mayo de 1943 y en julio de 1943 entró a la Marina Mercante. Abandona la marina en 1952 y desde entonces fue una especie de vagabundo.

 

Datos relacionados al supuesto Experimento Filadelfia

Hay que señalar que para los años 40’s la marina de E.U. estaba experimentando con invisibilidad. No la invisibilidad a simple vista  si no la de reducir el campo magnético para que no fueran detectados sus barcos y ser blanco fácil de las minas y torpedos magnéticos. Esta técnica se llama “Degausing” y utilizaban un sistema que rodeaba todo el casco con cables eléctricos.

Uno de los marineros, Edward Dudgeon, quien estuvo a bordo del USS Eldridge, refiere que el “degausing” lo instalaba un personal privado y nadie de ellos conocía con exactitud que estaban instalando, por lo que se iniciaron especulaciones y se produjeron rumores  de “hacer invisible el barco”. Además, el barco como tal, tenía un equipo secreto, un nuevo tipo de sonar para sembrar cargas de profundidad llamado Hedgehog. Por lo que justifica el relámpago descrito en el supuesto experimento Filadelfia como la descarga de plasma ionizado conocido como fuego de San Telmo.

Dudgeon dice que el origen de la desaparición fue porque soltaron amarras y llegó en menos de seis horas utilizando el canal de Chesapecke & Delaware, evitando el rodeo de la península.

Explica que su desaparición de una taberna, solo fue por la ayuda de una tabernera que los sacó a él y a otro por la puerta de atrás, ya que se formó una pelea y ellos no tenían la edad para estar allí bebiendo. En su explicación descarta que se hubieran desvanecidos o desaparecidos por efecto del experimento Filadelfia.

 

Conclusión

Es preciso decir que Albert Einstein estaba trabajando en la teoría del campo unificado, combinando  las ecuaciones que rigen la interacción de la materia, entre ésto y la luz y ambas con la gravedad. Se pretende deformar el flujo de la luz, alterar la relación tiempo y espacio, la tele transportación o hacer las cosas invisibles. El mismo lo confirmó, pero dijo que nunca lo había podido probar.

Mientras ocurría ésto,  sucedía la presunta desaparición del USS Eldridge, por lo que existe la duda de que Einstein no haya podido probar su teoría, y por ende, se sospecha que pudo haber estado cooperando con el gobierno de E.U. en el experimento Filadelfia.

Tesla habló sobre tele transportación a través de campos eléctricos y magnéticos. No obstante, de acuerdo a evidencias escritas tanto Tesla como Einstein no tenían una buena relación entre ellos. De hecho, Tesla no creía en la Teoría de la Relatividad de Einstein y así se lo hizo saber de forma escrita. Por lo que es difícil creer que hayan trabajado juntos.

En cuanto al suicidio de Morris Jessup, existen dudas de que haya sido la causa. Anna Genzlinger  investingó a fondo la muerte de Jessup y concluyó que el estaba bajo algún tipo de control. Hay que recordar que esta era la época de los experimentos secretos de control mental por agencias gubernamentales y que han sido recientemente descubiertos. Otro hecho que crea serias dudas es que contraviniendo la ley estatal, no se realizó la autopsia del cadáver.

Otro caso raro de explicar es el de Carl Allen quien muere en un asilo psiquiátrico. Se alude que cuando ingresó a la Armada de E.U. fue posteriormente licenciado por problemas psiquiátricos específicamente en mayo de 1943 y posteriormente en julio de ese mismo año fue aceptado en la Marina Mercante. Es difícil de creer que haya sido aceptado a solo dos meses de haber sido licenciado por la armada por problemas psiquiátricos.  Es cuestionable lo de sus problemas psiquiátricos y si ésto fue algo real o hubo alguna manipulación con su historial mientras estuvo en la armada.

Lo cierto es que dado a su diagnóstico y estar ubicado en un sitio para personas con problemas mentales hace que la gente dude de su testimonio referente a lo que él supuestamente vio el día del experimento Filadelfia.

Hay datos que apoyan que solamente es una leyenda urbana y que se han tergiversado los hechos, pero existen situaciones como las antes mencionadas que arrojan dudas y señalan que hubo conspiraciones para desprestigiar la existencia de un Experimento Filadelfia.

Ahí están los datos y están las referencias por lo que el lector juzgue y llegue a sus propias conclusiones.
